Donations
As a non-profit organization we rely on donations to help pay for the medical costs of vetting our Greyhounds before they are released for adoption. The donation fee of $500 (of which $450 is tax deductible and includes a new leash & collar combo and training muzzle) for an adoption of a Greyhound only covers the general medical costs of spaying or neutering, teeth cleaning, worming and general physical.
Throughout the year we hold special fund raisers, online auctions, donations from special vendor sales as well as donations taken in at scheduled Meet & Greets. Many companies also have matching shares programs that enable employees who wish to donate to do so. We are compiling a complete list of companies that participate and will add those shortly.
We also rely on the generosity of "Big Hearts" to help us continue to place retired Greyhounds into homes. Monetary donations are welcome as are items we can sell at fundraisers or online auctions. Donated food for our volunteers that foster our Greyhounds while they are waiting to find their forever homes are also welcome. If you wish to make a donation, please refer to our 800 number and contact names listed on that page. All donations are tax deductible and you will be given a receipt for your taxes. Future Greyhounds who will pass through our system thank you in advance.
Volunteer
As an all volunteer organization GPAGNW is blessed to have many experienced Greyhound savvy "Super Folks" who are dedicated to the rescue and adoption of all Greyhounds. Volunteers work in many different areas to help, from helping when new Greyhounds arrive from all over the country, home fostering to attending Meet & Greets, organizing fund raisers and auctions, gathering donations...the list is long and no effort by anyone is too small. A very big "Thank You!!" to our current volunteers.
To continue our mission and vision to find homes for as many Greyhounds that are released in our care, we always welcome new volunteers.
